Jonathan Cox, 49, of Lillian was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola after he was struck by a 1986 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by Chester Yarbrough, 85, also of Lillian, while riding a bicycle on Carrier Drive near County Road 99.

At 1:55 p.m. Monday, ALEA officials released a statement that Cox had died as a result of his injuries.

No charges have been filed and Alabama troopers continue to investigate.
