Brian Dasinger is proud to announce that he will be running for Baldwin County District Judge in the upcoming 2018 election.

Dasinger currently has a full service law firm located in Fairhope, Alabama. He and his lovely wife Amanda have six children between the ages of 7-13, three boys and three girls.

Dasinger values his family and community. He and his family are active in Three Circle Church on the Eastern Shore. He spends his spare time as a Cub Scout den leader and Upward Christian Sports League coach.

He also serves in the Fairhope Kiwanis Club, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, the Baldwin County Executive Republican Committee and as an associate member of the Eastern Shore Republican Women and the South Baldwin Republican Women.

He is honored to be able to play in charity golf tournaments that benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fairhope, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fairhope Education Enrichment Foundation, Fairhope Kiwanis, Foley Police Department, Daphne Police Department, Sheriff's Boys Ranch

and several others.

Dasinger was born and raised in Brewton, as the son of the late beloved Dentist, Dr. Michael Anton Dasinger, who instilled in him the values of honesty, integrity and hard work.

"My parents were very loving but tough on us at the same time,” Dasinger said. “They taught us the values of hard work and southern manners, like saying 'Sir and Ma'am'. There was no grey area with regard to right and wrong. They were a fantastic example to all of us."

Dasinger is from a very large family of seven siblings, two of which are also Baldwin County attorneys.

Graduating from T. R. Miller high school in 1991 and then attending Huntingdon College on a golf scholarship, he was a part of two national championship golf teams. He graduated from Huntingdon in 1995 and went on to chase his dream as a professional golfer for two years before enrolling in Jones Law School in 1998.

Dasinger graduated law school in 2001 and went directly to work for the Baldwin County District Attorneys office under former DA Dave Whetstone. While working as an assistant DA, Brian spent much of his time prosecuting in Baldwin County District Court, the very court that he now seeks election for.

"It was an invaluable experience working for the DAs office,” Dasinger said. “I was able to witness the legal system at work from every angle."

While there, he was afforded the opportunity to work very closely with other attorneys, Judges and various law enforcement agencies and formed many strong relationships with police officers, sheriff's deputies and state troopers that last to this day.

"I have an immense respect for law enforcement,” Dasinger said. “They are some of the strongest, most dependable and loyal public servants that we have and we are extremely fortunate to have the officers that we have been blessed with here in

Baldwin County."

After two years with the DAs office, he went to work for Hoiles, Dasinger and Hollon in Robertsdale where he continued prosecuting part time for the Cities of Gulf Shores and Foley and also began practicing criminal defense and domestic relations.

"Crossing the line from prosecuting to defense really deepened my understanding of - and passion for law,” Dasinger said.

He then opened Brian A. Dasinger, PC in January of 2005, a law firm specializing in Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations, and Personal Injury. He also acquired an indigent defense contract with the State of Alabama in the Baldwin County District Court that he held from 2005 to 2013.

For that eight year time period, he was appointed to defend thousands of defendants in district court under Judges Jody Bishop, Michelle Thomason and Scott Taylor. He also worked very closely with Judge Joe Norton, who was a prosecutor in District Court during that time period. During his time on the contract, he worked in district court an average of 3 times per week.

"The time that I spent on my district court contract was very rewarding,” Dasinger said. “I was able to help a countless amount of people and to gain invaluable experience on how to run an efficient and fair docket that prepared me to serve on the district bench."

Dasinger said he would bring a decided balance of assets to the bench - Godly, family and pro community values, extensive District Court experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney, strong

connections within the law enforcement community with a reputation for hard work and fairness, and a knowledge of the law that would allow him to make swift and sound rulings to keep the district court docket efficient and save taxpayer money.

He would also bring 15 years experience in Domestic Relations Law as an attorney and as a domestic relations mediator.

"I feel I have the necessary experience and unique set of qualifications for this position and it would be my honor to serve the people of Baldwin County from the District Court Bench,” Dasinger said.
