BAY MINETTE, Alabama — There was a great turnout Saturday, May 15 as residents took advantage of the free Clean Out & Recycle Day at Bay Minette City Hall.

Truck and car loads of electronics, paperwork, tires, metal, ink cartridges, outdated medication, household grease and much more came through the line.

The Bay Minette Beautification Committee partnered with local vendors to support the project including Shred-It, United Cerebral Palsy, North Baldwin Utilities, Advanced Recycling, and Baldwin County Solid Waste.

Volunteers also collected 83 pounds of soda tabs which will be donated to Ronald McDonald House in Mobile to recycle to support their programming.

Volunteers with Beautification Committee, Bay Minette Rotary Club and the Bay Minette Lions Club also pitched in at the event to assist residents. Thanks also to Publix for donating the reusable shopping bags which were distributed to residents.
