Crash on Baldwin Beach Express kills one, injures six

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — One man died and six others were injured in a three-vehicle crash over the weekend on the Baldwin Beach Express.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:57 p.m. Saturday, May 16 between County Road 62 (which is approximately two miles south of Interstate 10) and Cowling Road (which is approximately 2 ½ miles south of County Road 62), according to a release issued Monday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

According to the report, a 2000 Chevy Silverado pick-up traveling south lost control and crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck two other vehicles, killing a 62-year old man who has not been identified, pending notification of the next of kin.

Six other people were injured in the accident. None of the other injuries appeared to be life-threatening, according the release.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
