Crash results in death of Foley man


FOLEY, Alabama — A Foley man died Friday, Sept. 7 from injuries sustained during a single-vehicle crash Tuesday, Sept. 4 on County Road 26, west of Foley.

David Daniel Jr., 54, of Foley was traveling east at approximately 5 p.m. when his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer left the roadway and struck a tree, according to a release issued Monday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the release. He was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined as troopers continue to investigate.
