Foley Elementary School’s teachers, faculty, principal, and staff were excited to welcome back students new and old to the school. From helping students from the carline into the school to finding their classrooms and preparing them for the day, the staff was ready to go before the first bell rang. This also marks the first year the school moves from a K - 4th to a K-6th, making the 5th and 6th grade students the inaugural classes for the school.
Previously the largest elementary school in Alabama with more than 1,500 students attending, this marks the first year that two elementary schools are open within the Foley feeder pattern, Foley Elementary and Florence B. Mathis Elementary. It’s estimated that each school will have an attendance of 800-900 students.
