Officials search for escaped Loxley inmate

LOXLEY, Alabama — Officials are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Loxley Work Release Center at approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Travis Wyatt Dawson, 41, was reported missing Wednesday night in Foley. He is described as 6-foot-2, 220 bounds with brown hair and brown eyes with multiple tattoos.

Dawson was sentenced in January of 2013 to 20 years for possession of a controlled substance from Escambia County.
