Spanish Fort man charged in shooting


SPANISH FORT, Alabama — A Spanish Fort man has been arrested and charged with murder after a body was found Monday near the Major’s Creek Bridge north of Stockton.

Kendrick Kentrell Patrick, 31, of Spanish Fort, was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Facility on Tuesday. Jail records show that, as of Wednesday, he was being held without bond.

According to reports, Sheriff’s Department officials believe the victim, identified as 30-year-old Skyler Rasaad Williams of Mobile, was shot in Spanish Fort and transported to Stockton. Officials believe the shooting may be drug related.

Reports say the Sheriff’s Office was notified of the discovery of the body in Stockton on the night of the shooting. Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday where the victim was identified as Williams.

Patrick has a long history of bookings at the Baldwin County Corrections Facility, dating back to 2007, primarily on drug and traffic charges.

He spent three months in the county facility in 2013 on charges of marijuana possession and distribution of a controlled substance, along with failure to appear (traffic) charges.

His last known booking was in February of 2016 for a court hearing. He was released a week later.

Williams has three bookings listed on the Baldwin County Corrections Facility site, the first in 2010. He was booked March 21 on possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude, possession of marijuana and traffic charges. He was released on July 9.

He spent 41 days in the Baldwin County Corrections Facility in 2016 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, attempt to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia charges with the Spanish Fort Police Department, along with additional charges of paraphernalia possession, attempt to elude, first degree marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance.

His last booking was in August of 2018 listed as felony writ of arrest. He was released 42 days later.
