ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — You can be a part of giving back to your community by helping to sponsor the Robertsdale Rotary Club Foundation’s 19th Annual PCA Championship Rodeo, which will be held Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10 at the Baldwin County Fairgrounds arena in Robertsdale.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said 2017-18 Rotary Club President Joshua Mims. “Through this event, in the last year alone, we have been able to give back more than $45,000 to our communities through charitable donations to non-profit organizations and schools.”

While main sponsorships are filling up, there are still plenty of digital billboard, banner and rodeo program sponsorships available. Businesses must be able to provide their own logos for use in advertising. Deadline for sponsorships and to submit advertising is Feb. 9.

Banner sponsorships cost $300 and include your company name or logo on a banner inside the arena throughout the rodeo, plus three complimentary tickets to the rodeo.

Digital billboard sponsorships cost $450 and will include your company name displayed as a sponsor of rodeo advertising on digital billboard signage, recognition during Friday and Saturday night performances, sponsor name in the rodeo program and four complimentary tickets to the rodeo.

Program sponsorships are $100 for a quarter page ad, $125 for a half-page ad and $175 for a full-page ad in the rodeo program, which will be distributed throughout both nights of the rodeo.

Make checks payable to The Robertsdale Rotary Club Foundation, P.O. Box 1133, Robertsdale, AL 36567.

Through its Foundation, the Robertsdale Rotary Club has contributed to the Central Baldwin Education Foundation, Catholic Social Services, Landstuhl Fisher House, Women’s Care Medical Center, Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Making Memories Hunt, among others. The Rotary Club Foundation has also contributed to several local school programs, including scholarships for local high school students.

This year’s designated organization will be the William F. Green Veterans Home.

The club also provides continuing support for ARC of Baldwin County, primarily through sponsorship of the annual Doc’s Hot Trot for ARC presented by LuLu’s, held every year in June.

This year’s event will again kick off with a Mini Rodeo on Wednesday, March 7, which will provide a preview to the Friday and Saturday festivities.

Students from local schools will be treated to a sampling of rodeo events. There will also be a preview of this year’s rodeo halftime entertainment.

Rodeo organizers and this year’s Rodeo clown will also be touring schools once again on Thursday, March 8 to help promote the rodeo.

Rodeo participants will also once again get the opportunity to win a Henry Golden Boy Long Colt .45 rifle, courtesy of Campbell Hardware. Raffle tickets are being sold through Rotary Club members or during the event. A drawing will be held Saturday night.

Local students are also invited to participate in the annual cover art contest and coloring contest. Entry forms are available online at robertsdalerotary.com.

One girls’ and one boys’ bicycle, donated by Walmart, will be given away each night during the rodeo.

The event is produced by Bo Campbell Rodeo and is part of the Ram Rodeo Series.

“We want to invite everyone to come out and participate in this family-friendly event, Mims said.

Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for children agest 5 to 12 and free for children under 5. Friday night is Kid’s Night with free admission for children under 12 when accompanied by a parent or guardian and Saturday’s festivities will include a salute to veterans.
