The Baldwin County High School Lady Tigers came out swinging in the season opener to defeat the Satsuma Gators 10-1.

BCHS Lady Tigers win big in season opener

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Baldwin County High School Lady Tigers came out swinging in the season opener. The Lady Tigers defeated the Satsuma Gators 10-1. Kahalley Brooks (1-0) was the winning pitcher. She pitched 5 innings, allowed 1 hit, walked 2, struck out 4, and allowed 1 run. Morgan Davison pitched the final 2 innings. She allowed 0 hits, 0 walks, struck out 1, walked 0, and allowed 0 runs.

Coach Anthony Cox reports that several players had a great night. Kahalley Brooks had 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBIs. Randa Day had 2 hits, 1 run scored, and 1 RBIs. Sydney Stewart had 3 hits, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBIs. Gail Pinkard had 3 hits and 2 runs scored.

Alexis Cook had 3 hits, 1 run scored, and 3 RBIs. Chloe Buck had 3 hits, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBIs.

"Great start to our season! Our pitchers allowed only 1 run and we had 17 hits and scored 10 runs," Cox said. "Proud of the girls!"

JV lost 7-6 to Satsuma.
