Rain (5-18) was led by Nicholas Safford with 12 points and Anthony Fairley with 10.

Daphne roared to a 13-0 lead and took a 23-7 first-quarter advantage. But the Trojans wavered in the second period as the Raiders closed the lead to 31-25 at the half. DHS reenergized and won the final two quarters 17-12 and 12-5.

"We got off to a really good start and then we flat lined,” said Daphne head coach Cedric Yelding. “I tell the guys that we have to play hard the entire night. (But) I'm extremely proud of my players. At halftime, our backs were to the wall and we came out fighting. I tell the players all the time too that basketball is a game of runs. We've been real good all year about having a run at some point. B.C. Rain played hard. Their players didn't quit. "

The Trojans hit 16-of-23 free throws. The Raiders were 6-for-18 at the line.
