DAPHNE, Ala. — The United States Sports Academy hosted 57 female high school soccer players from the Daphne Strike soccer club for a discussion on how to reach the next level in their sport. University of South Alabama assistant women’s soccer coach Jo Chubb was the guest speaker for the event. Chubb gave the players advice on how to speak to college soccer coaches to increase the likelihood of securing a scholarship at the collegiate level.

Chubb is a former soccer player at the University of North Alabama. Since she arrived at South Alabama as a graduate assistant in 2013, the team has scored 183 goals – the highest total for a three-year span in school history. She is a former player for Reading Football Club in England from 2006-09 and attended Chelsea Football Club’s Girls’ Center for Excellence from 2002-06.
