Baldwin EMC reports all outages restored

As of 1:30 p.m., Baldwin EMC announced it has restored all outages caused by Tropical Storm Gordon. Some of the outages were located in or near high water, which delayed restoration efforts, but crews worked diligently until all power was back on. Baldwin EMC employees also answered phones, monitored outages, dispatched crews and provided additional support for the line crews who worked throughout the night in tropical storm conditions to restore power to members.

“At the height of the storm, 4,013 Baldwin EMC members were without power,” said Chief Executive Officer Karen Moore. “We appreciate our members’ support and patience while our dedicated employees worked extended hours to get the lights back on.”

Baldwin EMC is a member-owned electric cooperative serving more than 75,000 accounts in Baldwin and Monroe Counties in southwest Alabama, including Alabama’s Gulf Coast. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
