Billy Edwin Stephens, age 85, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaudie and Edwin Stephens. Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie” Stephens; sons, John Stephens and Joe Stephens (Lisa Erdman); grandchildren, Zach Stephens (Stacey Dunn), Chad Stephens (Megan), Joey Stephens and Jessica Stephens (Mark Henderson); great grandchildren, Jameson, McKinley Grace, Joseph, Elizabeth, Grayson; brothers, Charles Stephens (Betty) and Ricky Stephens (Becky); many other relatives and friends. Private graveside services will be held at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort.
Billy served in the United States Army before coming back to Alabama where he owned and operated the Fairhope Service Center downtown for 31 years. He was active in the community through the VFW, the Lions Club, Fairhope youth athletics and the Fairhope Christian Church, where he served as a deacon. Billy continued to work at Tameron Honda while operating his own lawn care business after retirement. We miss him deeply already.
