BMES students meet Senior Bowl players

• Big Brothers and Big Sisters program looking for more mentors

Posted

MOBILE, Ala. — Big Brothers & Big Sisters and their Littles from Bay Minette Elementary School traveled to Mobile to meet with some players participating in the annual Senior Bowl. The gathering was sponsored by Infirmary Health who also treated the students to a pizza lunch.

All the students received an autograph book to gather signatures from the players. Prior to the athletes’ arrival, students used designed cards to present to the players.

There is a need for more “Bigs” to sign up to serve as mentors for the school-based program offered by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Alabama. Infirmary Health serves as a corporate sponsor for the program and allows it’s employees to serve as “Bigs” on company time and has Big-Little matches at Bay Minette Elementary.
