Foley Main Street’s St. Patrick’s Day event returns

Posted

FOLEY - Foley Main Street is bringing back the 2nd Annual Lucky to Love Foley St. Patrick’s Day event, rebranded from last year’s Lucky to Live in Foley. This year’s event will take place on Friday, March 13 in downtown Foley, but the fun has already started.

Now through Thursday, March 12, shoppers in downtown Foley can enter to win the Pot of Gold prize with treasures donated by local businesses. All you have to do to enter is purchase an item or service within the Foley Main Street District and make sure you ask for your receipt. Drop off your receipts showing the date and amount spent to 120 South McKenzie Street or any of the participating Main Street businesses with your name, email and phone number on the back. Or you can bring your receipts to the Foley Main Street tent during the BBQ & Blues Festival being held on Saturday, March 14 inside Heritage Park by noon.

Multiple receipts earn participants multiple entries, and you have the opportunity to make one receipt count twice. Simply take a selfie with your receipt and/or use a St. Patrick’s Day theme and post it to either Foley Main Street Instagram or Facebook with your email address in the description. With the exception of entries dropped off during BBQ & Blues, all receipts must be dropped off by noon on Friday, March 13.

The winners will be announced at 2 p.m. on the BBQ & Blues stage. A $10 festival entry fee is required; you do not need to be present to win.

Any questions can be directed to foleymainstreet@gmail.com. And don’t forget to check out foleymainstreet.com and Foley Main Street on Instagram and Facebook! Prizes going into the Pot of Gold will be updated on Foley Main Street social media, so keep an eye open for what treasures will be awaiting the winner of this St. Patrick’s Day event!
