SUMMERDALE, Ala. -- Coach Keith Smith and the Snook Christian Academy Eagles soared heading into their first-ever season as an AISA squad, taking on the Stingrays of Lighthouse Private Christian Academy from Gulf Breeze, Florida, in a spring game Saturday at Summerdale Middle School.

The Eagles will officially start their second season taking on St. Patrick Catholic High of Biloxi, Mississippi, beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 17. In addition to three Florida schools, Snook will take on six squads from Alabama, beginning with Escambia Academy of Atmore Aug. 24, followed by their first AISA regional game against Sparta Academy of Evergreen on Sept. 7. The Eagles are coming off a 5-5 stint in 2017, losing only six seniors on a 38-man roster.
