Events cancelled, public spaces closed due to COVID-19 concerns

Public events continue to be cancelled across Baldwin County and the Gulf Coast over concerns of spreading the COVID-19 virus.

 

Officials have asked that families continue to avoid large crowds and wash their hands thoroughly, including between the fingers.

 

Here is the list of cancellations as they are announced. We will continue to update this list as more announcements are made:

All Baldwin County School in-state and out-of-state school sponsored travel through the end of spring break. This includes all field trips, academic and extra-curricular activities. Athletic events are at the discretion of the school athletic directors, coaches and state athletic association.

Limited visitors:

 

Infirmary Health : As of Friday, March 13 Infirmary Health has implemented the following visitor restrictions:

-          Visitors who have flu-like symptoms or traveled outside the U.S. to areas where COVID-19 is active cannot enter Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

-          Visitors may only enter through the Main Entrance or Atrium

-          Two visitors per patient at a time. If patient is in isolation, only one visitor and they will be required to wear protective equipment.

 

Wiliam F. Green Veterans Home, Bay Minette: The VA has banned all visitors but will make exceptions  for patients who are approaching the end of his or her life.
