Fire at Foley High School

A name has not been released, but the Foley High School fire has been identified as arson and the Foley PD have a juvenile in custody. More details to come.

A fire broke out at Foley High School this morning, October 6, in the boys’ bathroom. The Foley Fire Department and the Foley Police Department responded to a fire alarm, and are currently investigation the incident.

“The school evacuated the students according to the plan,” said Police Chief David Wilson. “The fire department quickly extinguished the fire. The scene and this event is under investigation.”

There was a lot of smoke and significant damage in the bathroom, and school officials are currently working on cleaning up the mess left by the fire. Once the smoke has cleared, students and teachers will re-enter the building.

The State Fire Marshall’s office is also on the scene. No further information has been released at this time.
