According to a report issued by FHP, 46-year-old James Swope of Seminole was killed at approximately 6:10 p.m. Friday when the 2001 Nissan Maxima he was driving collided with the rear-end of a dump truck driven by 39-year-old Patrick Bundy of Robertsdale.
The collision occurred as Bundy was exiting the weight station onto U.S. 90, located just across the Alabama border in Escambia County, Florida.
Bundy was uninjured in the crash and no record of his arrest has appeared in the Escambia County Jail’s online records. According to the report, alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
