FOLEY - The cadets with their leaders performed lengthy community service preparing for the annual Friends of the Library book sale on Feb. 7 by hauling a huge number of boxes of donated books into trucks at the storage center. Another team of cadets were standing by to unload them at the Civic Center and then carry the boxes from the stage to the tables assigned for various categories and unpacking boxes.

They were tireless and dedicated for many hours both days, first for the set-up and then the breakdown on Feb. 10, where many books needed to be packed into boxes, then hauled from the floor to the rescue mission truck at the loading dock onsite for donation.

Cadets performing this yearly community service are listed below. The community thanks their leaders Col. Douglas, USAF (Ret.), and MSgt Howard, USAF (Ret.) and all the cadets for their service in the AFJROTC program, as well as this dedicated community service performed each year for the Friends of the Foley Library book sale.
