On the afternoon of Feb. 15, Foley Police along with members of the South Baldwin Special Response Team, served a narcotics search warrant at 1707 South Oak Street in Foley.
The subsequent search led to the recovery of 188 grams of synthetic cannabinoid, also known as "Spice.”
The homeowner, Wesley Shavon Williams (42), had an existing Distribution of a Controlled Substance warrant out for his arrest at the time, and he was subsequently charged with additional charges of Drug Trafficking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Nathanial Antwon Paige II (30) was also charged in this case with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Spice), Attempting to Elude, and Giving False Name to Law Enforcement.
Williams and Paige were both out on probation for previous drug charges among other things and are now facing revocation.
Foley Police Chief David Wilson said that the police department can show that drugs have been used and sold repeatedly at this residence for many years, despite warnings to the family that owns the house.
“This house recently sat vacant with no running water or electricity and was being used as a drug house,” Wilson said. “The police department will be taking additional steps to end this activity at this specific location. Enough is enough.”
