Guadalupe Marquez Villa, age 74, from Weslaco, Texas and a resident of Summerdale, Alabama sadly passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Guadalupe has two boys but was a mother to anyone seeking comfort and guidance. She had an ear available for anyone that needed to vent or just to talk. She is most notably known for the 28 years she dedicated to Summerdale School as a bus driver but also was a truck driver and race car driver in her younger years. If you ask her family and friends their most memorable moment with her, the memory is typically surround by a favorite dish she made, her famous Tamales. Lupe loved to cook and if you visited her home she was trying to feed you even if you weren't hungry. Guadalupe is survived by her Husband, Fernando Villa of Summerdale Al; Son, Jesse Villa of Stapleton Al; Daughter In Law, Christina Villa of Stapleton Al; Grandchildren, Raven, Dylan, and Morgan Villa of Stapleton Al; Youngest Son, Fernando Jr. of Summerdale Al; Grandchildren, Hayley and Chloe of Summerdale Al. A celebration of Guadalupe’s life will be held at Saint Bartholomew’s Catholic Church, Elberta, AL on Friday, February 5, 2021 with visitation at 12:30 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Prince of Peace Cemetery, Elberta. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church.
