Gulf Shores runoff election rescheduled for Oct. 27

Gulf Shores Municipal runoff election for City Council Place 1 and Place 2 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The runoff had been deferred to Nov. 3, but officials said the logistics of holding two separate elections on the same day would be problematic and confusing. City officials discussed the logistics with Secretary of State John Merrill and Baldwin County elections official and all agreed the runoff should be rescheduled for Oct. 27.

Voters will have a choice between incumbent Joe Garris or challenger Bill Coyne for place one and incumbent Gary Sinak or challenger Michelle Stancil for place two. The City of Gulf Shores Municipal Runoff Election will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020.
