The City of Gulf Shores will host a public involvement meeting for the Waterway Village Multi-Modal Access Project Feb. 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center. Due to concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will also be hosted online by the City of Gulf Shores.

The proposed project could improve connectivity multi-modal access by adding capacity to State Route 59, build a bike and pedestrian bridge across the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and improve traffic along County Road 6.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to participate in the development of the proposed project. A brief presentation will be given at 4:30 p.m. After the presentation, representatives from the City of Gulf Shores and their consultant will be available to discuss the proposed project and answer any questions. Comment sheets will also be made available at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center and online for those who would like to submit written statements. Written statements may be mailed or emailed within 30 days after the meeting date to the address below.

Participants are encouraged to join the virtual meeting a few minutes early to test connections with their phones or other devices. Representatives of the City of Gulf Shores will start the meeting at 4 p.m.
