Harold Inge Bryars Sr.

Harold Inge Bryars Sr. was born Aug. 28, 1922 to James Arthur Bryars Jr. and Annie Irene Munnerlyn Bryars in Stockton, Alabama. He went to be with the Lord on Aug. 10, 2019 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Harold devoted much of his life to being a public servant by serving Baldwin County for 16 years as a County Commissioner and four years as County Treasurer. He also gave himself to his family run business, Hubbard Landing, that he and his brother, Jimmy, started in their 20s and he retired at age 91.

He was a veteran of WWII, where he served in the 380th Bomb Group in Australia and Okinawa.

He was a lifelong member of the Stockton United Methodist Church. He loved his family, his country, and his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Nelson Bryars.

He is survived by his sons, Hal Bryars of Daphne and Larry (Vicki) Bryars of Montgomery; three grandsons, Paul (Jill) of Daphne, Nick (Krysta) of Des Moines, John (Allison) of Opelika; and three great-grandsons, Roc, Gus and Mac of Des Moines.
