Jane S. Meadows (Big Jane), age 94, passed away peacefully in WillowBrooke Court, a loving and caring skilled care unit of Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
From her birth in Birmingham, Alabama on Oct. 13, 1924 to her death on Wednesday, she nourished people around her with love, faith and music. She was married to Richard Clark (Epp) Meadows on June 12 for 59 years.
Jane loved to sing in the choir and play the piano at various United Methodist churches. She was a member of the Bron's Tones (Barbershop Quartet). Jane was an avid Auburn Football fan and loved to watch SEC football.
Left to honor Jane and remember her love are her two children, Donna Doughty (Tommy) and Richard F. (Dick) Meadows (Suzanne); five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jackie; and her husband, Epp.
Jane was a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church in Jane's name.
