Kate Fields was born on Aug. 18, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama to Bradley and Valerie Fields. She passed away at University Hospital in New Orleans on the evening of July 20.
Kate grew up in Gulf Shores, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in Secondary Education Language Arts.
Most recently, she was a teacher and served as the cheerleading coach at Lutheran High School in Metairie, Louisiana where she was beloved by her students.
Kate was a loving daughter and sister, a fierce friend and a dedicated teacher. Those who were privileged enough to know her will remember her wit, loyalty, wisdom and joy.
Loved ones will gather to share memories on Saturday, July 28 at 1 p.m. at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
