Local singers win statewide vocal competition

Students from The Studio competed virtually in the Alabama chapter of the National

Association of Teachers of Singers (NATS) competition this past week and won top placements in the

Musical Theatre categories. Students recorded three full musical theatre selections to be judged by voice

teachers from across the state.

Celia Knox (Junior – Mary G. Montgomery High School) placed 1st in the High School Treble

Musical Theatre category.

Olivia Szymanski (Sophomore – Baldwin County Virtual School) placed 3rd in the High School

Treble Musical Theatre category.

Kevin “K2” Nelson (Sophomore – Baldwin County Virtual School) placed 1st in the High School

TBB Musical Theatre category.

Jake Houston (Freshman – Daphne High School) placed 2nd in the High School TBB Musical

Theatre category.
