Lowell Stewart, age 90, peacefully passed at his Sandy Creek home, Monday, Jan. 22, 2018.
Lowell was a devoted husband, father and "Grumpa."
The son of Melvin B. and Clara E. Stewart, he loved to be around his family and friends, and proved that by starting our annual trip to the cabins 27 years ago.
He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Rosalea Stewart; parents, Melvin B and Clara E Stewart; grandson, Carson Stewart; and brothers, Harvard and Stanton.
He is survived by children, Barbara Mulloy, Roxann (Joe) Lloyd, Doug (Tanaya) Stewart, Priscilla (Larry) Williams, Charles (Margaret) Stewart, Chris (Kim) Quates; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild unborn; sister, Evelyn Griffin; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Stewart, Douglas Stewart, Justin Stewart, Keven Williams, Jonah Lloyd, Keith Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Katon Mulloy and Larry Joe Zellers.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley, Alabama, Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service.
Interment will follow in Lay Cemetery.
