LOXLEY, Alabama — A Loxley man was arrested Wednesday and could be facing multiple charges after Loxley Police say a woman reported he held her at knife point and raped her.
According to Lt. Doug Phillips with the Loxley Police Department, the victim reported in July that she had met a man from Loxley online and they dated briefly, “but when she tried to end their relationship, apparently he didn’t like that.”
After a two-month investigation, the LPD brought a warrant against Joseph Lee Jordan, 26, of Loxley, charging him with first degree rape. According to the Baldwin County Department of Corrections website, Jordan is currently in jail on a $25,000.
According to DOC records, Jordan was actually in the Baldwin County Corrections facility from Aug. 1 to Sept. 9 on two counts of third degree forgery.
DOC records show that Jordan has a record dating back to 2008. In 2009 he was booked on third degree domestic violence charges and was released six months later.
In October of 2011, Jordan was booked on a string of charges, including second and third degree theft of property, forgery and burglary charges. He was also booked on a fugitive from justice charge from Greenville County, South Carolina.
Records show he was released in February of 2012 and booked again in April on a fugitive from justice charge. He was released 10 days later, according to jail records.
He was booked again in August of 2013 on third degree domestic violence charges and a probation violation from South Carolina and was released 73 days later.
