Magnolia Springs celebrates Arbor Day

Posted

Magnolia Springs held its Annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Volunteer Fire Department. Master Gardeners were on site to help citizens learn more about proper planting and care of plants. Bare-root tree saplings given out for free included American Redbud, Parsley Hawthorne, Bald Cypress, Spicebush, Fringe Tree, Tulip Poplar, and Live Oak. Magnolia Springs was named a 2019 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management.
