The Magnolia Springs Public Library is excited to announce the addition of 100+ new heirloom seeds. With a kind donation from Mr. Ken Mauldin and the generosity of the Seed Savers Exchange, these are available to all library patrons in Baldwin County. We are so fortunate to have patrons like Mr. Walter Mixon who has brought us White Running Butter Beans that have a long history with his family.
We ask that our patrons “check out” seeds, grow and harvest them, and return seeds the following season.
Additionally, should seed growers be interested, Seed Savers would appreciate feedback on the seeds’ success. This will assist them in their “mission by providing invaluable data about the adaptability of various fruit and vegetable varieties to different regions of the country.” Data can be submitted at: seedsavers.org/citizenscience.
We look forward to seeing you at the library!
