MAGNOLIA SPRINGS – The brand-new Magnolia Springs Skin & Wellness Center (the only Family Practice and Dermatology provider in Magnolia Springs) opened its doors on Monday, Oct. 22, and is currently taking on new patients as well as walk-ins. The business was opened by CEO/President of Redemptive HealthCare Management Shari Woody, along with Richard Woody. The center is independently owned and strives to keep a community connection and down-home feel.

“Richard first came to the area in August 2017, and I came in December,” said Shari. “My background is 30 years of establishing doctors and practices in different areas from Tennessee to Colorado. Then we came here and just went into Jesse’s Restaurant and heard people say how they wish there was a family practice and dermatologist in Magnolia Springs, and I said ‘Well, let’s do it!’ So that’s what we’ve done, and we’re excited to be here.”

Woody has been recognized for distinguished project execution and has improved initiatives of practices and communicated revenue performance results to departmental and faculty practice leadership. She is skilled in identifying operational problems and correcting them, as well as exceeding departmental goals by increasing revenue.

Now with the opening of Magnolia Springs Skin & Wellness Center, she is bringing a new family practice to the area that has a focus in dermatology. Working along with the center will be Massage Therapist Heather Guy LMT, who is also taking on new patients. At the center itself will be Certified Physician Assistant Sabrina Reeves, formally Sabrina Kahn. Growing up in Tennessee, Reeves received her Masters in Teaching and Curriculum from the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester, as well as a Masters in Medicine from Trevecca Nazarene University. With her holistic approach in patient care, she emphasizes the importance of being healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually. She believes in working closely with patients to help them live a fulfilled and healthy life.

Reeves doesn’t only want to help patients herself, but to also educate them to take charge of their own health. She worked as a physician assistant in oncology and has experience making home visits for patients recovering after hospitalization.

“We’re excited about Magnolia Springs Skin & Wellness being in town,” said Mayor Bob Holk. “My wife and I went to their open house and talked to the employees, and it seems like it’s going to be a real asset to Magnolia Springs. We have a history of medical businesses in town: the pharmacy is very popular, and then the pediatricians office does great business. Now with Magnolia Springs Skin & Wellness, we’re excited that Magnolia Springs being such a small town can offer these services right here in town.”

The team at Magnolia Springs Skin & Wellness believes in treating each patient as an individual, creating custom-plans that suit the needs of each person, as well as educating and supporting patients to become active in improving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And this is just the beginning. The future goal is to open an Imaging Center in Magnolia Springs and Tennessee in 2019.

“We are looking to expand with additional specialties and make a medical park for Magnolia Springs,” said Woody. “We welcome any providers to inquire about the opportunity to join us.”
