Mr. John Hutchinson Adams III passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2019 at the age of 77 surrounded by his children.
John, a native of Greenville, North Carolina was born on April 11, 1942 to the late Virginia Penelope Jones Adams and John Hutchinson Adams Jr. He resided in Daphne, Alabama at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his son, John Hutchinson Adams IV and wife Christine Adams; his daughter, Jean Elizabeth Adams Holland and husband Robert Lowell Holland; four grandchildren, Jordan Jean Adams, John Hutchinson Adams V, Parker Todd McShane and Reagan Elizabeth McShane; two great-grandchildren, Christina Jean Adams and Mary Rose Migues-Adams.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Lake Forest Yacht Club in Daphne, Alabama on Sept. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m., and then later a service will be held at the Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville, North Carolina, followed by burial in the Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church of Spanish Fort, Alabama, or the Eighty Street Christian Church of Greenville, North Carolina.
