Mr. Norman Paul Doege

Mr. Norman Paul Doege, age 88, a native of Detroit, Michigan and a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at his residence.

He was an artist, country music musician, boat builder, painter and treasure hunter.

Mr. Doege is survived by his wife of 69 years, Alma Doege; four daughters, Paulette Corban of Elberta, Alabama, Anita (Jason) Bishop of Fairhope, Alabama, Janice (Tom) Werner of Elberta, Alabama and Darrah Root of Foley, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Lipscomb of Elberta, Alabama; two brothers, Ronnie Doege of Pensacola, Florida and Roger Doege of Elberta, Alabama; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Elberta, from 5 until 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Elberta Public Cemetery.
