BAY MINETTE, Alabama — New playground equipment is being installed at Ulmer Park on Shedrick Hardy Parkway in Bay Minette. Ulmer Park is also receiving upgrades to the pavilion and bathroom spaces.

City crews will soon begin work at White’s Park on South Street to include new playground equipment, pavilion and bathroom spaces.

These two projects are each being funded through $98,705 Land and Water Conservation grants from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, with local match and in-kind service provided by the City of Bay Minette and North Baldwin Utilities.

Work is also expected to begin soon on a new sidewalk extension along Dobson Avenue, from Seventh Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The sidewalk project is being funded through a $373,520 Transportation Alternatives Program grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation.
