OBPD releases more on homicide investigation

Orange Beach Police Department continues to investigate the homicide that occurred March 22, 2018.

Notification having been made to next of kin, they are releasing the name of the victim. They have identified the deceased as Raymond Curtis Dudley, 53 years of age, and homeless. Dudley is originally from the State of

Massachusetts and a registered sex offender.

They ask that anyone that may have had contact with, or information concerning, Dudley on the evening of

March 21, 2018 to please contact the Orange Beach Police Department with any information they may have, no

matter how small they may think it is.

On March 22, 2018, at approximately 11 a.m., Orange Beach Police and Fire responded in reference to an

unresponsive person on the ground at the North end of Cypress Street on Wolf Bay. The person is identified as a white male in his 50’s who was the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. This matter is being investigated by the Orange Beach Police Department as a homicide. This will be the information released at this time pending notification of the next of kin and further investigation of the case.
