Patricia Kay Mayberry Dolihite, age 60, a native and lifelong resident of Foley, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas James and Betty (Poser) Mayberry.
Patricia loved bowling and was a member of the Wednesday mixed league in Foley. She also enjoyed fishing and went as much as possible.
One of Ms. Dolihite's passions was animals. She was a true advocate for animals and always helped animals in any possible way she could.
Ms. Patricia Kay (Mayberry) Dolihite was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas James and Betty (Poser) Mayberry; one sister, Dianne Hogan; and her beloved husband, Hoover Dolihite.
She is survived by eight siblings, Leon (Louise) Mayberry of Pensacola, Florida, Albert (Kathleen) Mayberry of Denton, Texas, Paul (Lin) Mayberry of Roswell, Georgia, Cheryl (Brent) Smith of Magnolia Springs, Alabama, Renee' Brewton of Foley, Alabama , Louise (Jack) Taylor of Bon Secour, Alabama, Ruth (Charles) Yanny of Daphne, Allabama, Jeff Mayberry of Tucson, Arizona; and numerous extended family members.
There will be a memorial service held in honor of Patricia on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, starting at 11 a.m. in Pine Rest Funeral Home chapel, with a time for visitation one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Baldwin County Animal Center c/o The Patricia Dolihite Adoption Fund, 15050 County Road 49, Summerdale, AL 36580.
