Patricia "Patty" Ann Green Burns, age 73, lovely and loving wife of F. Patrick Burns, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017. Patty has joined The Lord God our Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit in the Kingdom of Heaven after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, Patty was the daughter of the late James and Katherine Green. She attended Springfield St. Mary's Catholic Elementary and Central Catholic High School.

After traveling with her husband for military service, Patty lived in Dayton, Columbus and Hudson, Ohio. In 1986, she arrived in Pensacola, Florida.

In Florida, Patty had an extensive and successful career with Donovan Realty, Old South Realty and CBR Builders. In addition to being a Realtor, Patty became a broker and appraiser.

In recent years she was the president of St. Vincent De Paul Society Council covering the area from Pensacola to Tallahassee. Patty was instrumental in forming three new conferences within the territory. She spent almost every day at the De Soto Street St. Vincent de Paul coordinating activities and ensuring aid and an ongoing food pantry for the poor.

When she wasn't working, Patty enjoyed spending time in Orange Beach, Alabama where her family gathered to celebrate several special occasions such as her 50th wedding anniversary. She always looked forward to the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, who will deeply miss her presence.

Patty also had a passion for traveling the world alongside her husband. Her favorite place to visit was Paris, France where she hoped to return again one day.

Patty was a loving and giving women, whose absence leaves a hole in many hearts. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; and her in-laws, Frank and Rita Burns.

She is survived by her loving and grieving husband of 53 years, F. Patrick Burns; daughter, Colleen Caracciolo (Christopher), daughter, Maureen Zaller (Eric); son, Patrick Burns (Rachelle); grandchildren, Alexander Euse (Theresa), Erica Euse, Ryan Caracciolo, Alicia Caracciolo, Davy Pardonner, Brett Pardonner, Colin Caracciolo, Nicholas Zaller and Ethan Pardonner; great-grandson, Camden Euse; sister, Marilyn Green Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Burns (Linda), Terrance Burns (Mary), Rebecca Falanga (Joseph), Dianne Fisk (Stephen), David Burns; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m, Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504.

Funeral mass will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, 19 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32501, with Fr. Joe Callipare celebrant.

A funeral procession will leave the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at 9 a.m., for the committal of ashes at Barrancas National Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
