Public invited to Foley City Council Candidate Forum

FOLEY - The public is invited to attend the upcoming Foley City Council Candidate Forum, taking place on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Foley Civic Center. All council candidates with opposition and the candidates for mayor will participate.

The forum will adhere to the current “safer at home” directive. Masks and social distancing are required throughout the event.

The forum will be broadcast live over the radio, similar to “drive-in” church services, on FM 88.3 (up to +/- half-mile radius). WHEP plans a delayed broadcast. The forum will be livestreamed on Facebook on the Common Sense Campaign Tea Party Facebook page. Those watching the forum live on Facebook will be able to submit their questions for the candidates. Otherwise, anyone can watch the broadcast later at their convenience.

All questions will come from the audience. Questions will be submitted via index cards for the onsite audience and through Facebook livestream for those watching offsite.

Clark Stewart from WHEP radio will moderate the forum. All voters and interested citizens are invited to attend or tune in and participate.

The forum is sponsored by the Common Sense Campaign.
