Posted

According to a report received today by the Baldwin County Health Department from Riviera Utilities of Foley, the heavy rainfall caused the wastewater treatment plant to overflow which resulted in an estimated 100,000 gallons of sewage being discharged into Wolf Creek.

The health department urges residents to exercise caution if using this body of water for recreational purposes. Also, thoroughly cook any fish or seafood caught near by and wash hands after handling fish or seafood.
