Shirley Gafford Childress Digman, age 80, a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018.
Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, reading and watching her birds.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Childress.
She is survived by her sons, Curtis E. Childress Jr. (Janet) of Fairhope, Gary D. Childress of Bon Secour, Larry E. Childress (Stephanie) of Williamsburg, Virginia; daughters, Darlene J. Corbin (Timothy) of Spanish Fort and Sandra D. Pitts (Greg) of Fairhope; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in Brook-Cedron Cemetery.
