PALM BAY, Florida -- U.S. Marshals arrested a man in Florida who is wanted as the primary suspect in a Nov. 18 shooting in Bon Secour.

According to a release issued Monday by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Jeremain D. Dickerson, 22, was arrested in Palm Bay, Florida, on an outstanding first degree robbery warrant and a warrant for first degree assault issued in Baldwin County.

Dickerson is the primary suspect in a shooting that occurred on Nov. 18 on Springfield Court in Bon Secour.

According to the report, Dickerson, his brother Tamarius, and Royald Jones, traveled to the residence of Jahlen Baker and his roommate. The reason for their visit is under investigation.

“Once at the residence it appears that Jahlen Baker was confronted at gunpoint by the Dickerson brothers and their cousin Royald Jones,” according to the release. “Baker was shot at least once in the abdomen.”

Apparently, according to the release, the roommate of Baker returned fire at the individuals that had entered the residence, wounding the Dickerson brothers and Jones.

Tamarius Dickerson, Jones and Baker were transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile and were listed in critical condition immediately following the incident. Their current conditions are unknown at this time.

Jermain Dickerson was taken to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, where he was treated and released.

According to the report, he fled the area and was captured in Florida.
