Starla Chapman named honorary chair of RIDEYELLOW

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — During North Baldwin Infirmary's annual tree lighting, Bay Minette’s own Starla Chapman was introduced as the honorary chairperson for RIDEYELLOW 2020.

RIDEYELLOW is an Infirmary Health charity bike ride held annually on the Saturday before Father's Day. It was founded in 2007 by Ann White-Spunner and Mary Trufant to raise awareness of cancer and to draft grassroots support for their mission of inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer.

Since its inception, RIDEYELLOW has donated more than $538,000 to various cancer charities, including Camp Rap-A-Hope, a week-long summer camp for children affected by childhood cancer. The children can enjoy this camp at no cost to the families thanks to donations from charity events such as RIDEYELLOW. The proceeds from the 2020 event will again benefit Camp Rap-A-Hope.
