Summer Music at Meyer Park kicks off June 17

Posted

Grab your lawn chairs, pack a picnic dinner and enjoy an evening of live music. The City of Gulf Shores has put together another stellar lineup for the 2021 Summer Music at Meyer Park series. The free concerts are a fan favorite for locals and visitors.

Don’t feel like packing a picnic? The Blues Burger food truck will be onsite and the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber will be selling beverages at each event.

The lineup for the 2021 Summer Music at Meyer Park concert series is:

June 17 – Radio Zydeco

With South Louisiana serving as a jumping-off point, Lafayette’s own Radio Zydeco cuts, twists, deconstructs and reassembles until they create a fusion of unorthodox sound. They bring an eclectic and relatable message into a music tradition rooted in a carefree attitude and good-time vibes.

July 15 – Symone French and the Troullie

Symone French and the Troullie blend styles ranging from funk, rock and soul to create a sound that is truly unique and captivating. The Troupe has become a staple in the Mobile and Gulf Coast Music scene and lead singer Symone French delivers powerful, soulful vocals that are sure to move all listeners. They plan to release new music this year and to continue their active gig and tour schedule.

August 19 – Modern Eldorados

The Modern Eldorados live show is more than just a concert; it's a musical experience dripping with history and full of excitement. The band was formed in 1996 as a vehicle for singer/songwriter Gretsch Lyle's original brand of classic country music. With the conviction of an old-time gospel preacher, Lyles delivers his unique brand of witty southern humor. When The Modern Eldorados take the stage, class is in session for a wildly entertaining lesson in authentic American honky-tonk.

All shows are free to the public and begin at 6 p.m. Meyer park is located at 400 E. 22nd Avenue. For more information, please visit https://www.gulfshoresal.gov/1428/Music-at-Meyer-Park or call 251.968.1171.
