On Wednesday, the Bay Minette Police Department, with the assistance of Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshall Service, arrested Chaney Darnell Thomas at a residence in the Bromley community of Alabama 225.
Thomas is a suspect in a March 5 shooting that injured Anthony Williams and Latasha Mims at 210 W. Hickory St. in Bay Minette. The two victims continue to recover from their injuries.
Thomas is currently being held without bond on the charges of first degree assault; unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property, fourth degree; attempt to elude, and reckless endangerment.
A bond hearing will be held at a later time to determine his bond to be set by a judge. That information will be updated when it comes available.
