The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber and the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting with a large crowd in attendance. As the ribbon dropped the crowds quickly moved toward the zoo gates. The first visitors enjoyed walking the grounds, observing the animals in their spacious enclosures, feeding the giraffes and meeting the baby kangaroos.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is located at 20499 Oak
Road East in Gulf Shores and is open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission prices range from free for children
two and under to $19.95 for adults (13-54).
