FOLEY - Missed having music-filled nights, being delighted by live performances and dazzled by the lights from the stage? The wait is almost over, as Legends in Concert at the OWA Theater is set to reopen on Wednesday, July 1.
The show was forced to close back in March for the first time in its 36-years due to COVID-19, and now has the green-light to open the doors and invite guests in to witness the sizzling summer lineup. The reopening will see enhanced health and safety precautions to continue the battle against COVID-19, including spaced seating and a limited capacity inside the theater.
Those who are ready to score some tickets will see tribute artists dedicated to the King of Rock and Roll as Leo Days returns to the stage as Elvis Presley; the Princess of Pop with Katie Murdock’s portrayal of Britney Spears; the King of Pop with J. Lucas returning to pay homage to Michael Jackson; and the Most-Heard Artist of the Decade with Chad Collins bringing his tribute to Luke Bryan to the Legends in Concert at OWA stage for the first time.
Along with the tribute artists, guests will be treated to a live band, a cast of local dancers and back-up vocalists, special effects, and more.
“We are thrilled to re-open for our second summer at OWA with a fantastic version of our show designed for all musical tastes,” said Brian Brigner, Chief Operating Officer of Legends in Concert. “We have tremendous respect and appreciation for the responsibility we have to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment as we invite guests back to experience our show. I assure you safety protocols are in place and will be performed frequently including social distancing practices. We look forward to responsibly welcoming guests back into our theater.”
The summer lineup will perform from July 1 - Sept. 6 inside the OWA Theater. Guests will be able to catch the acts Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with weekend matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. There will be special holiday weekend performance times. Legends in Concert has earned numerous entertainment industry awards since its debut in 1983, including “Show of the Year,” Entertainers of the Year,” Grand Slam,” and the prestigious “Show of Shows” awarded by the International Press Association. Legends was most recently awarded the 2018 “Casino Production Show of the Year,” at the sixth annual Casino Entertainment Awards, presented by The Global Gaming Expo (G2E).
