Vernon Lee Young, age 73, a resident of Lillian, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017.
Vernon served in the Air Force for 20 years, was member of Berean Baptist Church for 38 years and an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors.
Preceded in death by his two sisters, Barbara Jean Chatham and Dorothy Ward.
Vernon is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Young of Lillian, Alabama; two sons, Daniel Dewayne Young of Brewton, Alabama, Troy Lee Young of Ozark, Missouri; brother, Larry Young of Stockton, Alabama; three grandchildren, Robert Colton Young, Luke Matthew Young, Ryan Lee Young; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from Berean Baptist Church, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service time.
Interment will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
